After more than a century of silence, the Château de Sancerre reopens its doors under the name Les Hauts de Sancerre, becoming the appellation’s first 5-star hotel. Perched atop the village, the estate blends heritage and modernity with rare elegance: nine suites with clean lines, a pop-up restaurant led by young chef Arnaud Munster, a wellness area by La Chênaie, and French gardens that open onto the Loire River and the vineyards.
Behind its red-brick walls, interior designer Jérôme Lescrenier has created a subtle blend of heritage and modernity: antique moldings, contemporary artworks, and designer furniture come together to create a cozy, light-filled atmosphere.
