One of the most prestigious Relais & Châteaux establishments in the south of France, located in the heart of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region, has just reopened its doors after two and a half years of renovation. Completely renovated, it has been rediscovered for the summer months since June 2023. The bell tower, chapel, cloister and Way of the Cross on the terraces have been piously preserved, and the entire 8-hectare Couvent des Minimes Hôtel estate has been totally redesigned, including the creation of a spectacular 2,500 m2 L’Occitane Spa (open this autumn), a true flagship for the brand. The hotel offers a total of 49 rooms and suites, some with loggias or terraces overlooking the gardens, with attractive surface areas of 40 m2 for the rooms and 71 m2 for the suites. For the two restaurants, renamed “Pamparigouste” for the bistro and “Le Feuillée” for the gastronomic restaurant, in honor of Louis XIV’s famous botanist who studied at the Convent, the Convent has entrusted its main table to a young 31-year-old chef, Louis Gachet, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2022. At the foot of the restanques, a superb 25-metre swimming pool offers one lap after another. Like a village square, it also features a bar and a pétanque court.
