A legendary establishment, the Hôtel Balzac was originally built by architect Paul Dechard for the director of the Paris Opera in the 19th century. Since then, the hotel has witnessed many chapters of Parisian history, but above all was the home of Honoré de Balzac himself, who spent his last days there. Having recently changed ownership, it has undergone a two-year renovation by Charlotte de Tonnac and Hugo Sauzay, the architectural duo behind the Festen studio, to reopen in June 2024.
Nestled between avenues Montaigne and George V, in the heart of the 8th arrondissement, the hotel boasts 58 rooms and suites, some with breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower.
