Perched atop a cliff overlooking Trestrignel beach in Perros-Guirec, Les Bassans marks a new stage in the hotel odyssey of the Fontenille Collection, which here signs its first Breton address. The former Hôtel Sphinx, a majestic seaside villa from the early 20th century, has been poetically reborn amid granite, light and sea spray.
Behind its bay windows and slate roofs, 25 rooms designed as cabins opening onto the ocean boast clean lines, sand and cream tones, and details inspired by the ocean liners of yesteryear. Here, everything seems in dialogue with the landscape: local works of art, raw ceramics from the Trégor region, a sensory spa designed around the benefits of the sea, and the restaurant’s iodized menu, which sublimates the products of the sea and of Brittany’s terroir. Even the telescopic sights available are a reminder that you only have to look up to catch a glimpse of dolphins, seals or the famous gannets that give the hotel its name.
